Calcium ammonium nitrate is a nitrogen fertiliser made by melting ammonium nitrate with a certain proportion of limestone and dolomite powder. The composition is NH₄NO₃ and CaCO₃, MgCO₃ mixture. Calcium ammonium nitrate contains 21% to 26% nitrogen (N), grey or light yellow particles or powder, the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline.
